here's my painted version of the last release by Kimera Models.
This piece means really a lot for me: wen we start think about the world of Pulvis, we immaginated that was a good idea to start our range with an "evil one" and a "good one", so in a "fantasy world" a demon against a paladin was probably the most easy and direct idea to do that.
When i start the art direction of this piece talking with Macs Gallo (the concept artist) i said him that in my mind the perfect paladins icons are the gold saints of Saint Seiya. I was always a "fangirl" of it, and i always wanted to try to reproduce something inspired from it in a miniature.
So Abel try to be a crossover between different influences of my life and my ideas about fantasy immagination: a full armor on a naked body, naked feet like an angel...
And at the same time he offer me the opportunity to tell a story, an "angel can falls"...
So in my mind in the story of Abel the chosen of the phoenix goddess of light Alba, he lost his battle with the lord of bones Dumah, he was killed by him...
But he is the Phoenix chosen, so he will rise from his ashes. Now after he rose, he is not a real human he became a kind of vampire/undead, cursed and lost... he has to recover his name and soul to became again the knight od the light and destroy dumah in the last battle. (see more about the story on http://www.kimeramodels.com)
So this is my version of Abel, the undead one... the fallen, dark and melancholic.
hope you like it!
