The paintjob match perfectly with the story you wanna tell ... i can feel sadness, tiredness and pain in those eyes.
And all those textures…
Strong gold !
Laurent I really appreciate your time, vote and comment, nice words and gives high motivation for next project!
A fantastic paintjob, I really like the tired eyes and weathered look. Maybe your best work so far!
Thanks, really appreciate the feedback and vote!
Really good tectures! I love armor! great paintjob mate!
wow great to hear, thanks buddy!
Excellent textures (especially love the armor) and a stunning expression in the eyes. Fantastic work, J!
Thankyou Yen much appreciated!!!
First I have to say you did a good job!
It’s a tremendus ejercise of texturing.
If it helps, it needs more “clean” looking in all the surface. This seems opposite of giving textures but nothing at all. Yo can give a subtke texture and then clean above with glazes to unify. Dont have to name the best painter on this (kirill kanaev).
Cheers and keep on the good work!
hey yeas i agree with you, i did glaze afterwards but maybe should have done more, but was worried to lose the effect i was searching for on this piece. thanks for the feedback its much apprecited!!!
The painting tells us a story, very well done!
many thanks for your words :)
that`s just great. the face is very alive! gold from me
wow thankyou! im so happy so many like him!
Really nice jason. I love the work on leather and metals. And what an expression !!
thanks Jerome, means a lot to me!

Thankyou very much G!
beautiful allround texture !
the metal is a pure marvel !
fantastic weathering job !
Marc I am so happy to hear these words from you, thankyou my friend!
best for me are the textures
Nailed the emotion mate. Lovinng the restraint shown in the colour palette!
Great paint job Jay, especially on textures and facial expression.
Thankyou for your words!
Gold of course, I’ve seen it on fb:)
Great work, Jay!
Thankyou! I’m really happy to hear these words from you!
I love the “issued” feeling of this guy!! Bravo Jay!!!
Great texture and expresion work! Maybe a little bit more definition in the face will make that an excelent.
Great job Jason!
Thanks for your advice and I agree the face seem a little “loose”. On to the next!!!
Really digging the the approach you took with the face. Bold colors, textures and lights. The metal armor is also really well done.
* p.s. The face of this character really reminds me of a Dutch book writer/politician called Jan Terlouw.
Thanks very much for your words!! It’s appreciated! I don’t know this author, I will look, thankyou!
A little too desaturated for my taste but good job on the textures Jason!
Many thanks, yes i lost the saturation, perhaps i should have put it back in the midtones at the very least! On to the next!
Hi Jason! Work is beautiful. A wonderful technique. And the character is very convincing!
wow many thanks im glad you like it!!
Like face textures and leather effect!! Gold!!
Thankyou Anson, high praise indeed!
Texture wise this is quite a wonderful result on all surfaces. A great texture study. In my eyes it only misses final definitions. Overall it works really good!
thankyou Roman, this is valuable advice for me and an honour, thanks for your words!
I love this interpretation Jason, there is a good and interesting brush gesture on it. Success! ;)
thankyou master, on to the next!
Cool texture work representing various types of materials. Great work
Thankyou kindly, im happy to hear your words!
Jay I love your work, I’d kill for your shroom shaman. The eyes on this piece are wonderful but I feel the rest might be over worked, as a passionate fan I feel this lacks your normal fluidity, almost like you chased the image in your head but the sculpt fell short?
Thx for your words bud although I’m neither sure I understand or agree as I purposefully kept everything minimal, with muted palette and limited colours. Actually I think my biggest issue is the lack of complexity and saturation to some of the colours
Little bit pale photos i think, but bust looks really good!
The face is incredible!
Textures pushed?... yeah! Emotion? Hell yeah! Gold. Very painterly Jay. It has a very Renaissance like painting style to it.
