Hi, this is my latest work, an aztec warrior. Ispired by drawings that i've seen in the "Lienzo de tlaxacala" i wanted to recreate one of these colorful warriors.
I tried to recreate a white war paint all over his body to obtain a good contrast between saturated colors and the white body. It was really fun recreate a forest base in this scale and whit scratchbuilt plants.
With this figure and a roman warrior (the one in the snow, you can see it on my profile) i won a Bronze medal in Master Historical Painting category in Monte San Savino Show 2017. An unexpected surprise and emotion.
