Warrior Priest of Sigmar
Metal 28mm Miniature

The base was my first attempt at a snow/winter themed scene. The stones are a mixture of slate i picked up from a UK based scenery vendor and small rocks I picked up outside. It was originally a small single stone base with a resin skull added in, but I wasn't terribly pleased with it so I built it up with more slate and stone and filled in the gaps with a mixture of PVA glue and the snow flock. It's hard to tell from the photo but this brand of snow flock has a slight glittering effect that really looks great. The tiny flower come from Reality in Scale natural flower kit.

This model was great to work with, and I really was pleased with the end result of the NMM of the armor, both the steel and the gold. To date it's my best attempt at the effect. I picked up a copy of 'Eavy Metal Masterclass on eBay a while back, and it turned out to be an extremely handy guide for many of the techniques I used here. I decided to give the head of the great hammer a somewhat arcane effect by glazing a very thin layer of turquoise towards the highlight and purple towards the shadowed areas, also so that it would stand out from the NMM effect used in the armor.
