A magnificent figure from Alexandros Models, Zeus along with his eagle gazes down on to the humans, holding his ever powerful thunder. Painted with acrylics, with reference to the 'Jupiter and Thetis' 1811 painting by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, I chose a red garment and black hair instead of the white/blue combination of the original box art. It won me the 2012 Best Greek and Best of Master Painting awards in the 2012 Star Club Athens Show. The base is an actual piece of marble with a freehand tapestry painted. All comments welcome.

    @Hors : Yes, the shine was something that happened due to my inexperience with acrylic dillutions and dry times. I consider spaying it with a mat overcoat. But I found also another solution for my next figures. I switched to oils and I bake them…;-p

    beautyfull fleshtones and very wel painted, i do have to agree with Demidov tough ,it is a bit shiny ,if there is something to comment.
