As soon as I saw the preview image I knew this is a Roman ... I mean a roman by Roman :D
I hope that is a good sign :D
Great!!!! Masterpiece work!I have this one! And also I want to make very bloody)))
Thank Sergey, I am really looking forward to see your version, in fact I can not wait for it as I do like your bloody figures as they catch a lot of realism ...
Oh wow, this guy has had a hard time lately…
Splendid shading on the armour plates; I am jealous ;)
Ahh, Uli, I saw your Roman too ... liked him a lot but you could have been braver on the shading of the armour ... no need for jealousy my friend!
Brutal! Love it!!
I just read to many books that explained the fights of roman legions against different foes and this was definatly ultra brutal ... just tried to catch the feeling I got from the books! Thanks for your comment!
Yeah!!! All the atmosphere I would have felt with this bust!!! Lovely !!!!
Just one tiny, mean thing: why is ther just blood on the left side??According to the fact that your Legio is, actually, protected by his shield on this side….He would have lost it???
But, as said by Philipp Prinz: Roman by Roman, Roman Art!!!!
I get your thought, thanks for sharing it. Well, it looks like he lost his shield or maybe it was turned down for a moment by a barbarian hand or axe, but not for long as his Gladius stroke forward and the blood splashed over his unprotected side where the shield was turned down ... It is hard to tell what happened during a battle ... seconds and Fortuna decide who lives, gets wounded or dies ...
Beautiful work Mr. Lappat
