Inspired by her statement "I'm an orphan now". I wanted to create a diorama that helped her through that difficult time. The title comes from me saying on many occasions "don't be sad" which really didn't help. The girl of course is my wife and she is headed off to the orphanage. The creaper in the back is me and his creapyness is a representation of how ackward I felt in trying to make her feel better.
There are minor sculpting conversion on the girl and the creaper (both figure are from Smart Max). The entire base is scratch built. Infront, the sign "Lord Oliver home for orphans" is an homage to her mom's dog who we adopted after her passing. Finally the single rose on the front walk way is a nod to her mom whose name was Rose.
So there are a lot of personal aspects to this piece. I hope you enjoy it with or without the story.

Sad story, beautiful diorama. It reminded ma a bit on the Elephant Man. Someone who looks creepy but got a big heart and lot of love to give. So I hope for a happy ending!Michael Proctor "Clever Crow"

Great dio without story, but with the story it comes alive as otherwise no notion would be taken from the given details to the story. I like it very much. Though maybe you're representing yourself a little too harsh compared to reality ;) Nonetheless a real joy to look at!Michael Proctor "Clever Crow"

This was a huge favorite of mine at Crystal brush one year. Thanks for sharing both this beutuful piece and the story surrounding it. You’ve done a terrific job creating the emotion. Gold
