Pegaso 75 mm metal figure. I have replaced the original weapon (mace) with a custom made steel axe which was painted as usual. Everything is free hand painted. I have also made the base out of olive wood and I have hand carved the wood in order to simulate the different kind of rocks. It was a really cool figure to paint. Can't wait to start the next one !

      Glad you like it.  Everything about it is ‘synthetic’ : fake wood stones, painted static grass, branches sculpted in epoxy putty and of course painted paper leaves.. Since my knight was pretty ‘wide’ because of the way he is using his axe, I tried to give some vertical ‘elevation’ by doing the base like this. Also tried to keep the colors of the base muted as much as possible since the knight was already enough colorful in itself and a busy base would have been too much, I think.

      Merci Eric pour tes commentaires. Alors pour les pinceaux, je n’utilise que du sable Kolinsky de façon générale et généralement de taille 1 (ou 0 mais jamais pas plus petit). Les Raphaëls, étant donné leur grande souplesse, sont utilisés surtout pour l’application des couches de base et pour fondre les couches subséquentes. Par contre, pour les motifs, je préfère un pinceau plus rigide comme les fameux W&N de la série 7. Toutefois, depuis 1 mois, j’ai commencé à utiliser des pinceaux de la marque Russe Roubloff et je les aime encore plus : bonne rigidité, poils longs, belle pointe et peu coûteux. Comme je n’utilise que la peinture acrylique, je suggère toujours de la diluer la moins possible pour obtenir des motifs de belle qualité.
