This is another 1/72 miniature, painted for a great friend who is a NCO in the German Navy's ground forces. It depicts a Royal Marine Commando; the harbor wall is inspired by pictures of the walls of Dieppe, where the British Royal Marine Commandos had one of their first (and most unsuccessful) larger "raids".

The miniature is from the Italeri British Commandos set, which is based on the old ESCI forms from the early 1980s or so. The sculpt is nice if a little stiff - which is typical for the early ESCI sets, and the casting absolutely flawless without any flash!
