Greek “Siceliota” Hoplite
This figure from Romeo Models represent a Greek Hoplite warrior from the V century B.D, when Greece colonized many islands in the Mediterranean. This type of warrior, with a Thracian helmet was also known as a "Siceliota", as it was located in Sicily (Syracuse was an important city with Greek influence at that time).
The base is made of plaster and the column is a commercial piece. I wanted to convey an end of summer day with the soldier on top of a rocky hill.

I love the almost monochromatic colour palette of this nicely composed piece!
