It is, maybe, my frist attempt at direct storytelling. It is based on many things really. Cyber-surveillance, google adds, and a song by Danish band ‘Minds of 99. I did the iPod etc in plasticard and wire and whatnot. Music flows from the IPod through her and the recorder tapes her thoughts.
The direct story is an artificial Girl who believes she is a living human being. Who is subjected to Music and her emotions and reactions gets recorded. Everyone is a target market. And Nothing is left off the grid. Big data. Big money. And the most analogue emotions here is that of a robot.
I had much fun doing it. I hope it shows. It is a part of a swap with a painter whom I admire immensely, and to see his model was thrilling. Vastly different.
