A Cossack, at the edge of the road in a sunny day. Painted with Kimera Kolors.
It was a pleasure to paint, one of the best sculpted furs i ever put my brush on.

Silver Medal in Historical master painting at Monte San Savino Show.

    Molto, molto bello!

It looks like a perversion. Because the Cossacks lived on the border of Tsarist Russia and fought with Poland, the Poles did not consider the Cossacks to be people. Not a single kozzak would not wear a cuirass of winged hussars with a polar fox. Cossacks were slaves of the Poles, and could not tolerate them.

To be honest in Pegaso they did a lot of historical research before sculpting this model and there is the historical research printed inside the box. On another note, it’s not a polar fox but an eurasian wolf. It’s not my place to dismiss their historical research or to validate it, i just painted what that research showed.

Honestly, when I painted the skin of an animal on a cuirass, I was still a leopard, a wolf, or a scribe.

The fact is that in history I studied at school, according to which there is a book by Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol “Taras Bulba”. The fact is that due to the fact that the Cossacks fought with Poland, they did not accept the Catholic faith, but adopted the Orthodox faith. The figure resembles Taras Bulbu 1962
