This is my little journey down trying to extend a story. In my case, Alfonso Giraldes wonderful Gladiator painted earlier this year (https://www.puttyandpaint.com/projects/20149). I saw Alfonso's as a rough concept he was using as a demonstration in Augsburg earlier in the year. He told a story of painting a gladiator emerging from the darkness into the sun of the colosseum. So I wanted to paint the gladiator's adversary. This was a fun way of using someone else's concept to extend the story and build upon it. There's a lot of skin on this bust so I wanted to give him a bronzed Polynesian aesthetic. I chose Dwayne Johnson/The Rock as my muse.

Now I am at the end I kind of wish I knew what I was doing with NMM! I have done NNMM again. This is an area I have to work on. Everything else I think I did pretty well on.
