This was my first time ever basing a miniature (beyond throwing some sand on it or something). As is typical, I got a hold of some Scibor Miniatures basing casts... but the stone face I wanted to use sat too tall. So rather than destroying one of them by cutting it down, I actually made molds and casts of the basing material as well as the remaining 6 stone face bases that came with KDM. That way, I was able to make partial resin casts and easy cut faces away to Tetris them all together in a way I wanted. So the large stone face is only a partial cast so it appears to be more "buried" in the ground, heh.

I also originally intended to make the lion's eyes glow MUCH brighter red (as in the prologue story art), but when I started to paint in the brightest spot for his glowing eyes, I found it pretty striking as-is... so I just kept it.
