Excellent painting of the man and of the beast’s skin!! Great rendering of metal too! Gold for sure!!
Superbe, remarquable travail : Gold !
Merci beaucoup Bernard pour ton commentaire
Thanks so much Andrii
Salut Bruno.
Beautiful work Bruno! I love the paintjob on the animal’s skin and the brass/copper metal looks very convincing! GOLD from me :)
Thanks you so much Rob for your kind words !!
great work friend, as always!
Thank you so much my friend ! :-D
Awesome version of this busr!
Thank you Jakob !
Hi Bruno, according to your message on facebook I am always willing to post a comment to work I vote on and explain my vote. I voted silver for this bust. You asked me to explain what does not work for me. I will explain it. A lot of things work really well that is why I voted silver. Silver is a high vote from my side, I barely vote Gold. It depends on my personal voting behaviour. I vote a gold medal if something really stunns me away and impresses me beyond technical aspects.
In case of this bust it is well done in terms of technique. I really like the animal fur. It works really well. I do like the subtile texture of the metal and the leather. For me the metals do miss a bit of material explanation in contrast and volume. I can not read if it is truely metal. No sorrounding ambience is reflecting in the metal. No sky color, no ground color.
Realistic metal does this and with painting it more depth and detail can be achieved. From the photos I am not sure which light is painted on the metals and which comes from the photo situation. I do like the tanned skintone it works really well, but from my perspective misses small nuances of life and color in it.
These are all small things and I name them because you asked me to tell you. No offence in anything I said.
i remember Kirill Kanaev painted the same bust once and I gave it gold, because he stunned me away by working out the surrounding ambience in the metals and tons of material texture definition.
Like I said, voting silver is not an offence at all. It is a high vote. I just decided to be able to vote properly on this site and from my perspective I can not give gold to every project. I barely give gold. If I give it often it has no meaning.
Best Wishes, Roman
Thank you for your very precise comment Roman. Do not worry, I do not take criticism badly, on the contrary, your comments are justified and allow me to understand and therefore move forward. You are right to vote as you feel, it is much better and I am very happy to get a vote in money from you, it is motivating for the future. Thanks again.
Belle peinture Bruno!
