Very nice painting, with just great weathering to make it highly realistic, giving a great personality to this piece.

    • eric wolfs

      That’s your choice. No problem

  • Roman LappatPLUS

Hallo Eric, of course I can put a comment to my Bronze vote on this model. Please do not feel offended in how I vote. I soon explain my reasons, but beforehand: If Indo not like a model I do not vote. If I like a model I do vote. Medals are always my adminiration and so is a Bronze medal. I did not had in mind to vote you down or such. I am sorry if you feel this way ... now let me explain from my point of view…

    • Roman LappatPLUS

The overall look of the model is a well presented historical model that has a lot of historical aspects right. Color choices are good and I really like the texture and freehand of the clothes. This brought it up to a Bronze medal for me. I see improvement on the skin, it looks like dead flesh on the lower part of the Body, not the Skintone of an south american inca. The face in particular has strange painted volumes and is not easy to read.

    • Roman LappatPLUS

... the metallic parts lack contrast to show their Material properties. So do the tourquise parts. I do not know what dort of material it is. Is it reflecting, or is is a tourquise matte stone. This is where I see potential for improvement. To show Materials more in their particular Definition. Explanation with your paintwork to the Readers eyes. The base is very basic and does not give your paintwork justice. Maybe there could be Stars with Details, like grass or old dried blood or plants.

    • Roman LappatPLUS

I do not mean this as any offense. I do barely vote Gold in Putty and Paint. Only with projects that stunn me away. I often vote Bronze and silver, but I am still having the oppinion that recieving a medal should be something to appreciated, so sorry if you got me wrong here ... not my Intention.

    • eric wolfs

Ok Roman, i understand your choice and respect it. I was just disappointed because only your vote make the note go down for almost tree points. But that is not important. You gave me the direction for painting better. That is important.
Great thanks, and i’m not offended.

    • Roman LappatPLUS

Hey Eric, thank you for getting back to me. I am really happy that you are not taking this wrong. I really enjoyed explaining my reasons and I am happy that they are helpful. It takes quite some time to think myself into your model to write such a long comment. I do so while I vote, but bringing this into words to make them understandable ins different story. I would love to do this more often while Voting as I agree that medals are not as important as a good comment.
