This project was very important in my painting journey.

Firs - it was my first bust painted without help (the previous one was done on a workshop). I had to prepare a concept, analyze lights and shadows, and decide what I want to show.

Second - I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and learn a lot. Painting a figure in a contrasting light took a lot of effort - I made basic painting first and lit my figure with two colorful sources from different angles to understand how this kind of light interact with each other. I still don't believe I achieved what I intended, but indeed learned a lot.

Third - I wanted a miniature, that I can hang on the wall. And this I go pretty well I think :)

In the end - I feel much more confident with this kind of painting now :)
