This amazing 75mm miniature from Oliver "HonourGuard" Späth has been the best painting experience I did so far, I challenged myself to paint in a not comfortable way for me (actually now is the way I prefer) and try new things, I've also tried a bit of Milliput sculpting with the stone and the sword of the base which, except for the stone head, it's completely handcraft.
There are some things I'm a bit unsure about but I decided to not touch it, a little bit because too often I have ruined finished projects for that "last touch" a bit because I am trying to understand that it is impossible to achieve perfection and that being too obsessed with it ruin the experience.
I've also imagined a story for this guy!
"He is a great hunter and warrior with a strange passion for particular and precious objects, gaudy clothing and trophies. He is always the first to reach the battlefield, not for a particular pursuit of honor and glory but to make sure he grabs the best loot!"
Let's say I created the story as an excuse for all the gems and precious metals I painted!
