She is the Night Sky
She is the Night Sky
She is the Night Sky
She is the Night Sky
Though my mind was dark with plight
I seek, to find my guiding light
To clear my head, to remember why
For peace she brings
She is the night sky

Alternatively: Starry Jane (working title). Inspired by the wonderful painting that was Starry Night, by Vincent Van Gogh. I did not initially plan to go this route. My plan for the bust was a blue toned study, with lots of brush strokes. My sketch started to flow, and I started to depart, and Starry Jane entered my mind. With a suggestion on my sketch from a friend, swirls entered and this is where we went. I tried to capture the two most prominent features of the painting, the Moon and the Cypress. It was a wonderful exercise on a pure creative high. I hope you enjoy it.

I have always been a night owl. If not for my love of birds, I doubt I’d ever get up at a reasonable hours. In the past left entirely to my own devices, such as during my research, my productive hours were 10pm-3am. Made 7am meetings with my advisor tough. The call of the night is always there, and brings me peace and clarity.

Thank you Alfonso,  I can’t really take credit for the idea though, all I can do is pay homage.
