While I was painting this miniature created by Aradia Miniatures , I thought of a different backstory inspired by the new
kickstarter , which Aradia miniatures and Kimera launched this April (Ultima Thule: the Battle of Hyperborea).

"Tulkha isn’t a killer whale , but during the tough period that Hyperborea was going through (Attacks by the Evil Roman
Legions that Ahriman created) , the animal kingdom of the area was in need of a protector and that protector was Tulkha. Tulkha had given many battles with the enemies, always wearing the skull of the first Roman legionnaire she killed and her fur which was made of the fur of each different animal killed by the enemies, so that she would always remember the number of friends she had to avenge for. In this scene Tulkha couldn’t save a fairycat (we have seen this species pulling the chariot of Freya the Great Mother) and she pays tribute to the fairycat’s death."

The skintones where inspired by the amazing boxart of Mirko Cavalloni.
