This time I would like to show you this funny small miniature I painted for a collector who customized and printed himself the actual mini. Inspired to the "The last of us II" game.
I had a lot of fun with jeans and I painted as freely as possible trying to avoid falling into unnecessary (for the concept of this project) smoothness, which among other things I am trying little by little to do in all of my new projects.

The scale is supposed to be 1:32, I forgot to check and now it's already shipped, but surely it was a bit less then 54mm.
Vallejo and Ammo (skin tones) colors.

I hope you'll like it!

Awesome work for this scale, totally looks like Ellie. Gold!

    • Matteo

Thank you! Unfortunately I’ve played only the first, so it makes me happy to know from you that I’ve got the personality of Ellie in the scenario of the second episode!

  • Jakob VPLUS

    Brutal!

    • Matteo

Thank you!! You’ve got the point!!

    • Jakob VPLUS

Oh for sure! I played through both games - twice, and loved them. Through and through. Ellie has a special place in my heart and seeing her depicted in this, her most brutal self, is almost too much. So, well done in capturing the spirit from the game. Where can I get this?

    • Matteo

Great! Thanks, sadly I’ve only played the first episode but I’m glad it still works! I painted this mini for

You asked regarding my vote - here is the C&C.

It is a cool piece, and the splatter is really well done. The shading and highlighting that went into the piece before the splatter effects is super coarse though. I get not wanting to make everything smooth, but getting not-smoothness right is also a skill to practice. I also can’t quite tell if the eyes are painted as to be closed, or not really painted entirely. She needs a base to accompany her which could help sell the scene.

The overall effect of the figure is really nice though. The dirt and grime looks like it was a lot of fun to paint, and it gets the idea of a character who has worked hard though very well.

    • Matteo

      Thanks for your feedback

    • Matteo

I understand about the smoothness but, I have avoided it as much as I could by choice , but perhaps it is a matter of taste. This was a mini printed from the customer and the size and the quality of the print did not allowed me to paint the eyes which sometimes, specially in this scale it’s better to not paint to avoid cartoonish faces.
About the terrain, this will be part of a diorama the client will build, so the base was not requested.
