This 54mm scratch built diorama shows the defenders of Vienna during the Turkish siege in 1683. This i indeed one of my all time favorite parts in history.
This diorama was a great chance to practice on painting a monochrome scene, something I truly enjoy.
When working on a diorama like this, composition is everything. From placement of the figures, the colors, directions of lines, backdrop, levels, etc, everything should work together. To get full control of this I even added those stone rabble stone by stone, carefully added one by one... But t was worth it!
