Bladegheist Revenants
Bladegheist Revenants
My Bladegheist Revenants. They are among one of the nicest models of the Nighthaunt, and they fit perfectly to my death-themed army.

Another nice thing about this unit is that all parts in the kit are usable. No wastage of parts. And all 10 models have unique, dynamic poses.

The painting process and materials are the same in all my other Nighthaunt models---lacquer and water-based paints, acrylic inks for the spectral tendrils and OSL, and oil paints for highlighting.

This was also my first time using weathering pencils for the rust on the chains and swords. For these models, I opted for weathering pencils rather than pigments/pastels for this instance because some sections of the chains are molded together with the spectral tendrils. And I don't want wayward pastel or pigment dust to ruin the tendrils.

For the rust, I used Earth Brown, Dark Rust, and Medium Rust, applied one after the other. Then I stippled diluted fire orange. When dry, I lightly drybrushed the metal parts with steel metallic paint.

Copper verdigris (sword handles and pommels) are painted with copper metallic paint, stippled with GW Nihilakh Oxide, then drybrushed lightly with brass metallic paint.

C&C, of course, is always welcome.
