The figures are all handsculpted, 55mm scale. The entire diorama is scratchbuilt, from fruit packaging, plastic tubes & card, etc. It is meant to be wall-mounted, but I have made a small stand for it too.
The bubbles were cast in tinted water clear urethane from a master made from sculpey and small round beads.
I aimed for a bit of contrast in this piece, with the diver and mermaid's colors, their skin exposure, the ominous sea mine and the tranquility of the scene.
