I began with a much bluer/greyer palette before shifting to more purples and golds. I was going for a late sunrise sea cliff, perhaps staring out at an enemy on the horizon. Overall I’m pleased with the ambience of the piece. I painted him with my usual hodgepodge of Kimera, scale artist, AK, monument hobbies and Vallejo. This was my first project using some of the new Model Color line, and I found them very nice to work with. Same as the new Game Color it seems, and I saw almost no difference in my favorite tones with the new formula.
