The colour scheme is inspired by their descriptions and names. The twilight time of day is a big focus and defined their main colours. Their bodies disappear into the twilight and faces lack colour to show their detached and unfeeling nature.
The twilight colours on their cloaks change from dioxazine violet to phthalo blue, then teal, yellow, orange and pyrrole red.
The back of their cloaks has red underpainting to contrast the blue and to add a sense of texture with the brushwork on top of it.
A few select stars have a spec of fine mica to ensure the starry sky illusion is readable even in lower light conditions.
