A bit of a weird project born from a desire to do more with figure modelling. I've tried to apply a lot more of the tools I use as a writer - symbolism, metaphor, etc. - to try to tap into the viewer's instinctive responses rather than presenting a very clear narrative. I think the demand for stories to be obvious and easy to read is useful for competition so they can be judged, but it shouldn't be a requirement for all figures, just as we don't require all figures to be painted in a specific style.
I also really like René Magritte, and I think a lot of influence from him has leaked through without me fully realising, which is appropriate for the project.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy them. There's an odd number, so the last one I did gets a full-size picture (good thing that I like it).

Yeah! Love these, and also a huge fan of the open-narrative. Thanks. And also, they look great. :)Fet Milner

Curious, are a lot of works about the same concept.Fet Milner
That depends on the viewer. I applied a lot of things that are meaningful to me, but they can have different significance for different viewersTommy Gunn
