Here is a project that I completed exactly one year ago.
The model was sculpted by the amazing Leila Khalili, based on a very iconic piece by Julie Bell.
I really loved the learning process, balancing pinkish and orange hues to create a tanned caucasian skin.
The entire process involved a lot of color matching -- painting on paper and comparing with the artbook.
I think the result looks decently close, although due to the nature of 2D and 3D, the differences are slightly more pronounced in picture, as you can see in the side-by-side comparison.
Overally, I think it was a success.
