Painted for the German GD in 2013, I wanted to re-create a scene from the Games Worksop art work. In a way it works. I recall I'd been browsing one of the Rogue Trader RPG supplements just before popping into the local GW store and realised the general pose of the savage ork sculpt they had done would fit the piece with just a few minor changes (mostkly repositioning the arms)

I think my attemp to follow the scene probably resulted in a piece that has lost a bit iof the focus it could have had if the main figure was looking forward more, but I was generally happy with it. Something to consider if I attempt something similar again, at what point do you deviate from the original design in order to accomodate theissues of working in three dimensions and with the general limitations of basing compared to a canvas ...
