From Xijng Hui miniatures
Sculpted by Joaquin Palacios

Finished this great model, my first from Xing Hui. Very impressed with the quality. Not much to say about it, other than given Han ba’s are a sort of drought demon in Chinese and Japanese folklore, I wanted the overall ambience to feel dry, but not warm (if that makes sense). I wanted him to have cold skin tones, but not in a cold environment, so that was fun and a bit of a challenge. Hopefully it works.

Mix of acrylic paints on this. More heavy body like limited and scale artist than usual, and some of my new favorites from the re-released P3 range from Stormforge (coal black from p3 is a mother color in this piece, and is included in literally every mix)

Careful with the ankles on this model - my only complaint is that having the feet sculpted into the base and glued at the ankles created a really fragile joint - mine broke twice. I get why they did it with the chains around the ankles. But learn from my error and cut/sand down the keys in the ankles and drill nice deep pins from the ankle down through the foot into the base instead.
