The Hobbit is one of my favorite books. I use to watch the old animated movie again and again. When I first got into miniature painting I feel in love with the work of artist like Roman, Raffa, Ben, etc. how they would capture an entire environment in their scenes. One such piece that stuck in my mind was the Unexpected Journey by Basilisk. Fast forward several years and when i had the opportunity to acquire a copy of this beautiful hobbit bust by Lucas Pina I hopped on it. I wanted to create that feeling of excitement and wonder before one sets out on a new adventure. So hopefully this piece has accomplished that.
