A rare pewter figure released by Games Workshop in 2010 to commemorate the launch of Warhammer Fantasy Battles' 8th edition rules. It is among my favorite miniatures from that late-00's era. As a fan of all things High Elves, I was particularly enamored with how this sculpt embraces a full/heavy plate armor set, uncommon for the elf art design in Warhammer.

Originally this miniature was my first ever Golden Demon entry in 2011, having missed the cutoff for youngbloods by one year. It was in 2025 that I decided to finally strip and repaint the figure. The new color scheme is inspired by an army I saw at a tournament in 2015, which I still consider one of the greatest gaming army collections I have ever seen. The use of pale greens and blues over black and mint-white, it felt vibrant but also quintessential Warhammer.

I decided to not paint the plinth. The wood color was too wonderful to feel worth covering up.
