Hi David, the overall worn, stressed look of this miniature is beautifull. War is dirty and bloody and that could bee seen in this project. What makes your work special for me is that these aspects could be seen in the face too. Thank you very much. I enjoy this.

Had the same feeling as Sash had. First - from the small preview - I was like up to see a beautiful painted napoleonic guy but after opening it up and having a closer look he comes alive. The subtile dirt and lifelike colours turn this one into a true, athmospheric beauty.

As usual outstanding work David. For a lot of artists the pictures usually are better then in flesh, but having seen your pieces up close at Nova and such I can say that this picture probably does not even do all of the justice that this piece deserves. Bravo on another great piece.
