Time for a classic :)

Created in 2010, this is still one of my personal favourite pieces I ever did. Why?
Not painting wise, that is for sure, but in fact this was the first piece where I told a dramatic story in a miniature scene. Since then butterflies became a regular sight in miniature projects. For me this piece marks a spot where my personal journey away from gaming models to display models started.

My thoughts on it:
"A sharpshooter from Helldorado sitting in a dead harbour of a dead city, waiting for the right moment to take the shoot. The moment did not come yet but there is a butterfly bringing peace to him ..."

Here you can find a 360° video of the miniature, got to watch it in HD.
I guess it shows more of the natural impression of the model and base:

The project was sold to a private collector.
Thank you for your support in my craft, work, art and passion!

Hope you like it and I hope you also find your moments of peace once in a while!
Keep on happy painting!
Best Wishes

  • John Margiotta "BloodASmedium"PLUS

I wish the piece. That was the turning point in my painting transcendence was as cool and dramatic as this….love it.

  • Jason ZhouPLUS

The painting itself is not perfect by the standard of nowadays; but the idea behind the scene is meaningful and inspiring. Compliment!

    • Roman LappatPLUS

Thank you, Jason. I am happy to see such a good painter as you not only judging by the techniqual painting aspects, but more the overall impression of a piece. You are well travelled in your painting mojo, Sir!

  • Sławomir Borysowski - "Sławol"

I remember this model from CMON. One of my all-time favourites from you.

    Still love it!

I like to think that the butterfly landed on the barrel just in time to block the view of the target for the sniper. As he shakes the butterfly off of the barrel and acquires his target once again, it is too late and the target is gone…

  • Siuhkyls :)

This is beautiful; I love the 360 degree view - Gold! :0
