’ve always been fascinated by the universe describing characters hovering between childish world and dark, mysterious and macabre atmosphere.

Do you see these creatures left to a cruel and seamy fate, these grievous canivals, these ridden clowns, these black umbrellas, these bent trees, these churchmen not very nice, these distinguished creatures occupied with farcical and dark tasks…

This figurine is undoubtedly a relative to the “Plucker” of illustrator Brom. The visual universe of Tim Burton, the texts of the cursed poet Edgar Allan Poe, or the music and the book “La mécanique du Coeur” from Dyonisos and the Austrian composer and trumpet player Michael Mantel have flown my head during the execution of this harlequin.

I hardly know the universe of Games Workshop from where are taken the elements of the mini, but I was glad to hear miniature painter say me this is exactly how they imagine the harlequins of 41th millennium, contrarily to the way GW is presenting them. I keep in mind a dark eldar version of the character, remain to see how it’s going to be interpreted….
