Saladin (1137-1193) great military and religious leader, the first Sultan of Egypt and Syria.

This bust, produced by the talented chaps over at Nuts Planet has tons of detail and character.

For this version i wanted to create a different 'look' than those i had seen online. I converted him slightly by changing the maille to look more authentic and adjusted the nose guard to give better visibility to the face. The colours i wanted to be far more saturated than a traditional 'historic' piece.

Tons of fun to paint and convert, i hope you enjoy looking at him :)
