I started my Death Guard Marine with the intention of testing out some new colour combinations for a Nurgle themed project. As the painting progressed I had a lot of fun exploring textures by using both painting techniques and adding various mediums to the surface of the mini to create physical texture.

Still water from vallejo and then microbeads! I used three sizes of microbead and layered them in with the water effects. The ‘splashes’ are cotton wool soaked in water efects and alowed to harden before being attached to the base. I then fixed a microbead on the end of each splash.
