I like to show you one of my latest works called Erato and “the circle of fifths”.
The figure itself is from nocturna models and based upon the art of Nekro.
The groundwork or base was created by using several pieces of molten pe // pvc ,it was
fixed together with milliput and green stuff. For the small key signatures i used plastic card,
metal and brass wire. All is painted in acrylic by using brush and airbrush.
The size of the figure is about 90mm and the material consists of resin.
The story behind my project and the name i have chosen can be sought in the world of music and lyricism.Erato is one of the 9 muses in Greek mythology , her name means ‘amiable’ and she is the muse of hymn , song and lyrics , her attributes are stringed instruments.The name “circle of fifths “ means in music theory the relationship among the 12 tones of the chromatic scale, their corresponding key signatures , and the associated major and minor keys.More specifically it is a geometrical representation of relationships among the 12 pitch classes of the chromatic scale in pitch class space = ( the circular space representing all the notes or pitch classes in a musical octave ) .
When I first saw the sculpt i was so excited to make this piece with the idea that music,color and creativity became united . I really had a lot of fun building and painting while listen to my favourite songs hehehe...
