This project has finally fused somehow my canvases and miniature art. I don't want to write here dozens of text, but if you are interested you can find some decription on my site.
Please consider it as some kind of extension to my project "Beggars and Saints".
The model was sculpted by my friend Andrei Kostryuchin. It is not so big, the model is about 1:24 scale, but as soon as he is sitting..
Also this is my humble step to slowly move our miniature art from war and fantasy thematic. I really want to make more projects that can attract more people who have nothing with our miniature hobby. And I hope to proceed.
I painted it as I would do it on canvas, so all the shadows were painted in the same technique I paint shadows on canvases: using translucent oil paints. It was a tricky part and my first attempt to do it. But shadows play here a critical role in composition as they convey the main idea. As well as a warm light of the sunset. "Another day has passed".
