The history of this bust is quite unusual. Or maybe the opposite - it's banal, it's up to you to decide. This bust was specially sculpted for me by a wonderful artist and sculptor Dan Wagner, for which I thank him very much. One day, when we were sitting and drinking beer I complained that my busts painting is not well and human skin on it in particular is not good. And if there would be something, of the red color (I can paint it very well), it would be great. For example, the bust of Hellboy from the Perlman's movie. But all of them are not good. To which Dan said: "If you want, I'll sculpt it for you ..." And he sculpted...

I will not tell you how I tormented him in the process of modeling "this part is not correct" and "it's not so good" that he was already ready to bite me to death. But the bust turned out so good, that I had to paint one copy and share it with other artists and collectors. And with production of bust I had help by no less remarkable master Alexander Saudad. I thank him not less than Dan: for the errors, noted in time, for the attentive attitude to the work and for the advice. The release wasn't easy. It was a full exit from the zone of comfort, right into the unknown. Like the boxart, because while I was painting, Dan returned me the debt for my "participation" in modeling, and now he, as the sculptor, pointed me out where my coloring not complements, but disfigures his idea, for what I want to thank him one more time.
