This was my first commission using the Marneus Calgar body to build a Grey Knights Space Marine. It really lends itself to some cool conversion possibilities. I tried tinting the metal with Turquoise Ink, but I think I would have been better served using blue. I also tried painting the force halberd blade as if it were on fire. The freehands were fun, especially the cherub strangling a serpent on the tilt shield, which is an homage to a very old John Blanche mini.
