A good few things about this I really like, and it isn’t the sci Fi style as that’s not necessarily my bag.
The facial expression is the obvious one, the power and force is all present there in the face, the expression matches the motion.
The line between the front leg and the spear, and the log spear and the back (both separately) gives good flow to he slightly odd pose. That said I really dig the pose because of the shape and flow regardless.
The dichotomy between the belted tunic/robe, the relatively primitive spear and the sci far armor and whatever is at his belt. Gives me good ole Dune vibes, and I love me some Dune.
