Here's a post-apocalyptic character from Jenkin van Zyl's film 'Looners', commissioned to accompany his installation in the Hayward Gallery in London earlier this year

Working from a set of stills to recreate the figure while trying to accentuate its features well enough that they would read properly in an exhibition setting and to a non-specialist audience was a fun challenge, and it was great to have the chance to really accentuate gesture across a full body without worrying about casting constraints. Representing the thick latex mask that the Looners wear to distinguish them from naturalistic people without losing expression was also something I had to think about a fair amount. I hope I got the balance and the sense of the uncanny right.
