This was definitely one of those "what can I do" paint jobs.

I'd picked up a tube of Payne's Grey to see what it was about as I'd read a few times about painting night skys and it of ten seemed to be mentioned. So I decided to play about with a limited palette of Payne's grey, burnt umber, and titanium white to see what I could do with it. Pretty sure I ended up adding in a yellow at some point and some ultramarine (Payne's plus burnt umber didn't go dark enough for shading) but it was a good bit of fun and gave me some ideas of what I could use it for.

Hope you like it and have a mess about yourself.
