I'm honestly not sure what I think of this project, although some have tried to convince me it is not nearly as best as my rage induced stupor would like me to believe, but the whole thing is behind a huge cloud of emotion for me. So I offer it to the most austere critics I can think of, you fine folks. As always, give me your worst, I'd honestly love to hear it.

This model (Blacksmith Miniatures, Tinkerbell) for me was positively rage inspiring. I sketched for literal hours on her trying to get something to stick and I just couldn't. The sculpt aside from the bird just has very odd volumes, that I just wasn't connecting with, at all. So as much as I enjoyed painting the bird, all else turns into a rage induced stupor on this one. Although that would be my general get through the day fuel, it doesn't necessarily help me for painting.

So for better or worse, probably worse, Tinker Bell. My first project of 2020, and one I've written off as failure.

I love that sculpt and you did her justice! The birdy is amazing!

Thanks Roman, I am pleased with the bird, was nice to paint one of my little friends.  The chickadee is a bold little bird, very curious, fun guys.  It is the rest that almost made me act rashly.

    Very nice painting!
I like how the plumage is painted.
The painting appears authentic to the bird.

Thank you.  The bird was the part of the project I enjoyed, I love birds, and that one happens to be a very prominent local one, so it was fun to create, as best I could, one of those little guys.
