This is an oldie but goldie figure by Pegaso. It is called "Izinduna Zulu 1879" by Pegaso, i don't know what exactly means but in 1879 the battle of Isandlwana took place, so maybe it is referred to this battle. But for me the inspiration to paint it was the "Shaka Zulu" the king and the 10th part series which dealt with his life. In 1821 when "Greek Revolution" took place (i've painted two figures about this period) Shaka was at his peak of his reign in Africa.
Painted with acrylics, hope you like it :)

Jolie peinture pour cette pièce classique, mais les photos ne la mettent pas en valeur.

  • Francois "Frado" Daugny

the skin tone and the shield are very impressive and very well done, fitting perfectly the topic and the purpose. Excellent painting of this piece, which is probably not so easy…
    Great!!
