Hi there,

My version of this wonderful bust by Michael Kontraros. I paint few fantasy subjects but this one totally got me, with the wonderful painting David Colwell made for the boxart. This was a training piece for me as there were many things that were new to me ! dramatic lights/shadows, desaturated skintones, almost two pieces in one from back to front. Didn't dare to use airbrush as my skills are still very limited with this tool, even though I think it would've helped me a lot to achieve smoother transitions for the skin especially.

Tried my best with this one, not entirely satisfied with my work but happy overall to have achieved it. It was a very difficult and challenging piece to paint but I truly enjoyed every moment of it.

Last picture is just me playing with my camera, not a realistic photograph but I found it pretty so here it is :)
