The Last Garden was inspired by Derek Stenning's Born in Concrete. The folks at Industria Mechanika produced several incredibly cool garage kits based on that artwork.
The central figure in this piece is one of their kits - The Duchess (1/6 scale). The idea behind the scene is that there is an "Order of Healers" that seek out the last remnants of green in this world of concrete. In her search, our heroine finds a lost member of her order who met his end some time ago and his remains nourish the last garden.

      Thank you Diego! It was a lot of fun to build this piece. Most of it was scratchbuilt and the “fallen astronaut” was a GI Joe action figure that I completely changed.
