My version of this great little character bust from Tartar Miniatures..lots fun to paint, you can go as ‘gnarly’ as you like. Painting Medieval shields is always an interesting one…do you go for perfection or a more craft like finish as if painted by a village artisan? In most of my research they were all fairly crudely painted, reflecting artistic progress at the time.
