Finished this gorgeous lady and had it up before. But realised the pictures taken then didn’t do her justice. So it got retaken.

I feel far more confident about her and how it represents how she looks how I painted her.

Hope you like her ! Also CC is very welcome :)

She’s beautiful! I really love how you worked texturing into skin in the lower area where she is more like stone. The C&C would be that the sash she’s holding is very plain and blends into her a bit; the texture is interesting, but the item could have been either darker, lighter, and/or a more contrasting hue to the skin. The face turned out gorgeous, as did the apple and the snake.
Happy painting! Looking forward to seeing more of your pieces :)

      Hey thank you :)
Fair point on the cloth. It’s a very long/ big bust and balancing the piece overall wasn’t easy. Think I might’ve been a bit too conservative with that. :)

Definitely! I have one waiting to be painted. It is a lot to take in and consider - so many different types of details are hiding on her. The sash’s colors are pleasing and they are definitely on-theme in earthy tones. Since she wasn’t an “only subdued” style due to other bright regions like the snake and headdress, the sash seemed just a lil off is all. Minor critique in the scheme of things. You did great painting! :)

    great stuff!

  • Francois "Frado" Daugny

I love the choice of colors and the subtle transitions and variations on every part of the model. Gold!!

Thank you! Really wanted to push myself with this one and try to incorporate as much visual interest without it being overly dominant.
